Finish Choices
Finish choices for each light are presented with the product descriptions found throughout this website. All of these finishes are a textured, baked-on powder coated enamel, which are suitable for interior and exterior locations. Even though all our finishes are durable enough for the outdoors, only those fixtures featured in our exterior light section are UL Listed for wet locations. Please specify your finish choice by number when ordering. Color sample chips are available on request.

Our finish colors are broken into two groups: Solid Color Finishes and Combination Color Finishes. Solid colors are applied to all surfaces of the fixture. For fixtures where a combination color finish is available, the accent color is applied to the trees, trout or fence while the base color is applied to all the other parts of the fixture, including the animal.

Mica, Glass & Shade Choices
Several of our fixtures use a mica diffuser to cover the light source. There are two choices: Almond (AL) mica and Amber (AM) mica. This mica is composed of two naturally occurring materials: mica plate and shellac. Therefore, the color and intensity is highly variable and adds to its uniqueness.

Glass Choices
On the Smoky Mtn Exterior lights, the standard is Almond or Amber mica. And although this mica has been treated for the outdoors, some people prefer the look of glass. We offer two styles: Amber Glass (AG), which is a hand-mixed art glass with white swirls, and the Beige Glass (BG), which has two usable sides: one side is beige with amber swirls and the other is iridescent. Both styles of glass have color and intensity that varies from piece to piece. Both are frosted on the inside to reduce glare.

Lamp Shade Choices
You will find two styles of lampshades in our product selection: a Dijon Paper shade (DS style) and a Bark Paper shade with Brown Rawhide lacing (BL). For the Mesa sconces, you have a choice between these two shades. The table lamps are only available with the Dijon paper shade. The Mesa Chandeliers and Foyer lights are shipped with a Dijon paper shade as the standard, however, for an additional charge, you can order the Bark Paper shade with Brown Rawhide lacing shade. All these choices are presented in the respective product ordering pages.

Pendant Hanging Choices
For Pendants, only where indicated in the product descriptions, there is a choice of three ways to hang your fixture. All include a matching ceiling canopy that can be mounted on either a flat or vaulted ceiling. Note: Only one hanging choice per pendant. These are not sold separately.

Adjustable Stem (ST) A telescoping stem with an adjustment range of 15 (min.) to 30 (max.) inches. To increase this stem length beyond 30 inches, up to a maximum of about 12 feet, order one of the Single Stem Extension Kits - see below.

Black Cord (BC) A 14 foot black cord that can be cut down to any length. Longer black cord is not available.

Chain (CH) Includes 3 feet of chain. To increase the chain length beyond 3 feet, up to a maximum of about 12 feet, order one or more accessory kit MCK450 - see below for more information.

Other Product Options

For certain fixtures, there are other options that will be presented when ordering. The following section describes these options. Note: these options are not available for every fixture, only when indicated in the individual product descriptions.

Plug-in Option
Specify this option when ordering for selected wall fixtures and we will add an 8' brown or black power cord with a plug. If the fixture does not already have a switch, then the cord will have one. Applies where indicated in product descriptions. Not for use on exterior locations. Additional $25 charge.

Right Facing Option
Specify this option when ordering for selected fixtures and we will face the animal or fish to the right. Only available where indicated in product descriptions. Additional $15 charge.

Reverse Image Option
Specify this option when ordering for selected fixtures and we will reverse image the entire fixture. Only available where indicated in product descriptions. Additional $25 charge.

Compact Fluorescent (CF) Option
Specify this option when ordering for selected fixtures and we will replace the incandescent socket(s) with a PL13 quad pin socket (13W) for a 4" bulb. Only available where indicated in product descriptions. Please note that any fixture which holds a medium-based bulb will also hold a swirl-type fluorescent bulb without purchasing this option.

Add-On-Accessories

For certain fixtures, there are Add-On Accessories that will be presented when ordering. The following section describes these accessories. Note: these accessories are not applicable for every fixture, only when indicated in the individual product descriptions.

Swag Kit (MCK410)
Swag kit includes two ceiling hooks, 6 feet of chain and a plug. Please specify finish color when ordering. $30

Vaulted Ceiling Kit - Chain (MCK420)
Round vaulted ceiling kit, which converts a flat ceiling mount fixture to one that can be hung from a vaulted ceiling. Please specify series and finish color when ordering. $15

Vaulted Ceiling Kit - Rocky Mtn Billiard (MCK421)
Square vaulted ceiling kit, which converts the double chain, flat ceiling mount Rocky Mtn Billiard light to one that can be hung from a vaulted ceiling. Please specify finish color when ordering. $40

Vaulted Ceiling Kit - Double Stem (MCK422)
Square vaulted ceiling kit, which converts a double stem, flat ceiling mount fixture to one that can be hung from a vaulted ceiling. Please specify finish color when ordering. $40

Extra Chain Kit (MCK450)
Extra three feet of chain. All chain drop fixtures are shipped with 3' of chain. In order to accommodate higher than normal ceiling heights, we supply an extra 10' of lead wire on all hanging fixtures, for a total of 13' of wire. This means you can order up to 3 of these kits for wiring included with the fixture. Please specify finish color when ordering. $15

Direct Mount Ceiling Kit (MCK470)
Direct mount ceiling kit, which can convert chain hung foyers and chandeliers into one that can be mounted to a flat ceiling. Please specify series and finish color when ordering. $25

Top Diffuser Kit (MCK480)
For select chandeliers and foyers, this kit consists of a removable diffuser for the top of the bowl to shield the bulbs from view from above. Kit includes an almond mica shade and all necessary mounting hardware. Please specify series and finish color when ordering. $25 or $40.

Telescoping Stem Extension Kits
Fixtures using stems are shipped standard with an adjustment range of 15” to 30”. For longer lengths, we provide the following kits. Please specify finish color when ordering.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Dimensions

We round dimensions off to the nearest inch. Thus, measurements will vary slightly from what is presented within each product description. We also reserve the right to make minor alterations to a design to improve the light.

Bulb Types

Bulbs are not included in any light fixture. Although maximum Wattages are shown in the product descriptions, lower Watt bulbs may be used.

Customizations
In order to keep prices as low as possible, we cannot customize any of our products. However, we welcome your comments and suggestions on the lights contained on this website, as well as suggestions for other lighting designs, and we will work toward adding them in the future. All suggestions become the exclusive property of Mountain Ranch Lighting.

UL Approval
All of our lights are UL Listed for US and Canadian markets, which means that we follow rigid standards developed by Underwriters Laboratories (UL). These standards include: using UL approved parts and components, following proscribed construction and wiring guidelines and having monthly UL tests and inspections of a representative sample of our lights. Using UL approved lights is important not only for safety reasons, but also to meet local building code. Only those fixtures featured in our exterior light section are UL approved for wet locations, which means they can be subjected to direct rain. All other fixtures are approved for dry (indoor) locations or an outdoor location protected from direct rain (this is called a "damp" location.)

General
All of our light fixtures are rated as 120-volt, AC. Each fixture comes complete with all hardware required for installation. In order to keep our prices and shipping costs as low as possible, some lights require minor assembly, usually not requiring more than 30 minutes to an hour to complete. Mountain Ranch Lighting reserves the right to make minor improvements to the products presented on this website in order to better serve the needs of our users. Accordingly, some products, along with their respective specifications, may change from time to time.

ORDERING INFORMATION

Prices
Because we are the manufacturer of all of the products found on this website and selling direct, our prices reflect a significant savings over traditional lighting distribution channels. For your convenience, we have presented both the List Price and the Factory Direct Price. Your price is the Factory Direct Price, which is about 20% off the List Price. All prices shown on this website are in U.S. Dollars and are subject to change without notice. Electricians and Builders with state issued contractor's licenses can receive special contractor pricing. We also offer log home dealers specials for product placement in model homes. And we also have special pricing for Architects, Designers and Lighting Specifiers. Please contact us for these special ricing packages. Sales taxes will be added for all shipments to locations within Washington State.

How to Place your Order
Our lights are only available on-line through our website, by phone or by fax. Our lights are not sold through retail stores. Shop on-line at www.mtnranchlighting.com. Call toll-free 888-520-7046 Monday - Friday, 9AM to 4PM (Pacific Time). Please have your credit card and order information ready.

Order Lead Time
Except for a select list of top sellers, all of our lights are custom made to your order, so please allow roughly 3 weeks before shipment. We do our best to keep our top sellers in stock and ready for immediate shipment. Please check our website or call us for the most up-to-the-minute list.

Delivery Time
Even though each of our lights is made to order, our goal is ship your order within 14 business days of our weekly Monday order cutoff. Our production schedule is set-up so that orders received by Monday Noon (Pacific Time) of each week will ship on Friday of the second following week (i.e. two and a half weeks later). If you require faster order turnaround, please check out the section called "Top Sellers - Ready to Ship" to see if the light you are looking for is there. These lights are pre-made and will ship within two business days of receipt of order.

We ship all lights to the continental United States via UPS from Bellingham WA, so please allow up to 1 week for delivery. To points outside the continental US, we use either the US Postal Service or FedEx Ground. If you require faster shipping time, please let us know at the time of order and we will calculate the additional expedited shipping charges for you.

Shipping Charges
For orders totaling more than $400 (before tax), we offer FREE shipping to points within the US and Canada for standard UPS or USPS ground shipping. For orders under $400 to locations inside the US or Canada, please add 12% to the cost of the item for standard UPS or USPS ground shipment. If you desire faster shipping or if you are shipping to points outside the US or Canada, please call us and we will calculate the extra shipping charges.

Please note that on shipments to points outside the United States, you will be responsible for any duty charges, custom charges, Value Added Taxes (e.g., GST in Canada) and brokerage charges imposed by the carrier/broker. (For our Canadian customers, there is no duty because of NAFTA.) Our free shipping offer only covers the cost of standard UPS or USPS shipping charges via a "Ground" method of shipment.

Packaging & Freight Damage
We receive very few damage claims each year because we securely package every light we make in cushion wrap and/or biodegradable foam,. Glass is wrapped separate from the fixture. However, despite these packaging efforts, items sometimes are damaged in shipping. If you receive a damaged fixture, please save all packing materials and contact us immediately. We will provide a replacement as soon as possible.

Returns and Exchanges
Please call us for a return authorization number prior to returning any items. All returns must be shipped back in their original or similar container. Items returned for refund must be shipped at the buyer's expense unless authorized by us. Items altered by customer may be refused. Note: Except for items returned due to shipping damage or due to a mistake we made on your order, shipping charges are not refundable on returns.

Privacy Notice
At Mountain Ranch Lighting, your privacy is a priority.

Mountain Ranch Lighting collects various types of information from all of its customers including visitors to MtnRanchLighting.com (the “Site”). Mountain Ranch Lighting’s web server collects general data pertaining to each Site visitor, including the IP address, the domain name, the web page, the length of time spent and the pages accessed while visiting this Site. This information is collected to, among other things, aggregate information from online and offline sources, facilitate system administration, improve the content of this Site, customize and improve the user experience for Site visitors and customers, and improve customer service generally. Limited 2-Year Warranty
Mountain Ranch Lighting warrants that its products are free of defects in workmanship and materials for a period of two years from date of purchase. If within two years from date of purchase any of its products are found defective in workmanship or materials, Mountain Ranch Lighting will repair or replace, at its sole option, the defective product upon presentation of proof of purchase and the defective product.

THIS WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. Mountain Ranch Lighting’s liability under any warranty, whether express or implied, is LIMITED SOLELY TO THE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF THE DEFECTIVE PRODUCT FOR THE DURATION OF THIS WARRANTY AND DOES NOT INCLUDE LABOR OR OTHER CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES.
