| Q. |
Does Mountain Ranch Lighting make the lights or just sell them? |
| |
We manufacture the lights ourselves, right here in Bellingham, Washington; two hours north of Seattle, Washington. |

|
| Q. |
Your prices seem pretty low compared to other websites and stores. Are we sacrificing quality for price? |
| |
Not at all ! We are the manufacturer, so you pay what we call a "factory direct price", which can be significantly lower than through a regular retail store. All our lights are of heavy gauge steel that is the thickness of a CD or house key. Then they are powder coated which is a baked-on enamel finish. A rugged, well made light. With great attention to detail. |

| Q. |
How soon will I receive my order? |
| |
We make each light to order and it takes about 7 to 10 days to get our lights made and shipped. Then, depending on how far away we are shipping the lights, it takes another 1 to 7 days to get to that location. When you place your order, you are given a projected ship date. We meet these dates about 98% of the time (hey, that's really not too bad!) , with the balance of the orders getting out no more than 1 or 2 days late. If we happen to have the light in stock (for instance, our specials and top-sellers), then those will go out right away. |
| |
|
| Q. |
After we place an order, when will our credit card be charged? |
| |
Because of our short lead times and the fact that each light is made to your order, we will charge your credit card when we receive your order. |

| Q. |
Discontinued lights. We noticed that some lights have been removed from the website. Are they still available? |
| |
Unfortunately, no. We have to make room for new lights and some didn't make the cut. The website represents the current list of lights and current prices. Our current catalog is Fall 2006. |

|
| Q. |
We noticed a lot of the lights call for a B11 torpedo bulb. Is that readily available and why not just a standard household bulb? |
| |
Many of our designs have limited clearance for bulbs and we design them that way. The torpedo bulb is found at any store, and the clear ones tend to be brighter than regular bulbs. |

|
| Q. |
Is there any difference between exterior lights and lights that are suitable for wet locations? |
| |
These mean the same thing. When we refer to "exterior" lights, that means they can be used inside or outside, in a dry or damp or wet location. A wet location is one where the light will be subjected to rain or snow. |

| Q. |
Do you have a contractor discount? We are working with a general contractor. Does he need to order the lights? Or can we go directly to you? How does this work? |
| |
We offer licensed building and electrical contractors a 12.5% discount. Either you or your contractor can place the order, however, to qualify, we will need the contractor's license number and state at the time of order. |

| Q. |
We noticed you don't offer to customize our lights. Why is that? |
| |
Well, the short answerw are: to save you money and to decrease our production time. The long answer is: When you look closely at our lights, you will see that there are actually a lot of choices or ways you can customize our lights to your own unique situation. We offer a wide choice of finish colors, mica colors, reverse images and right facing images, plus add-on accessories, etc. So when we say we don't customize, we really mean we can't create a brand new light from scratch or mix and match images and anything beyond what options are offered for a particular light. Of course, we love to hear your suggestions, so send them directly to the owner. |
